Today we didn't start with silent reading, instead we talked about our adopt a family.Our adopt a family is a family that we adopt and help them for Christmas because they cant afford it. This is a very special thing to be apart of.
We then watched a video that we have previously watched in September. The video was a documentary about the shopping cart. This group of people(IDEO) that were creating a shopping cart that was relevant for everything. Such as checkout on the buggy and safer child seating areas.
Why did we do it?
We are doing the adopt a family because us as a class want to help a family that is less fortunate then us and might not have a very good Christmas. This is a very good thing to do as a class because it shows to other people that we are very kind and giving. We watched the video because Ms.Lees wanted us to understand the collaboration part of the video so we could use it towards the class and our blog groups.
Connections?
Connections outside of Humanities includes helping people for charity anytime and any place. For the shopping cart it is a good innovation for young minds and a way to get you motivated when your older. Lets say you want to be a entrepreneur or an inventor this video can help your collaboration skills with the group of people you do this with.
Homework/Reminders
Make sure that when you do the paragraph on good collaboration that you are thorough. Quiz on chapters 7-8 for the outsiders.
Bring your 10$ for the adopt a family.
