Nelson Mandela

NelsonMandela was born on July 18, 1918 and died on December 5, 2013 at the age of 95. We are celebrating Mandela's life because of his selfishless behaviors. and for fighting against racial discrimmination. Due to fighting against the apartheid, he was arrested and put in jail. He was released 27 years later. Unlike money, time cannot be refilled. However, losing 27 years of his precious time where most people would've given up, Mandela continue to pursue the end of the apartheid. He eventually became the president of South Africa. Nelson Mandela shows how with strong motivation, anything can happen. He also showed the whole world how we shouldn't judge people by their race and how we should approach situations with an open mind. Mandela truly was a great icon of leadership and how we should never give up and fight for what be believe in.

Apartheid: The apartheid was a system in South Africa that seperated people based off their race. For example, there were laws that made sure white and black people must live and work away from each other.
