Reflection and Nelson Mandela Connections

Reflection:

Today in class we did a discussion on motivation and we watched a video on motivation. Before we watched the video, we talked about how to get motivated. The class thought that we would get motivated by getting a reward like money. In the video the man explained that getting a reward for motivation actually doesn't work. It actually makes it worse. After the video, the class decided that getting a reward doesn't help but really makes it worse. In the video were going to build something and the best gets a big reward, the second best a medium reward, and the third best gets a small reward. It turns out that everyone didn't do very good. Our class decided that the best way to get motivated was by doing something that we like, like in innovation week.

Nelson Mandela Connections:

Me and Nelson Mandela Don't have a lot in common. We do have some connections though. Nelson Mandela believes that everyone should have equal rights all around the world and so do I. For example, I don't think that any race is better than another such as whites being better than blacks or Asians being better that whites and so on. Nelson Mandela also isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in or if he doesn't like how something is like the whites being better than blacks. I am also not afraid to protest against something that I don't like. I think that Nelson Mandela is a great role model and is a one of a kind person. He went to jail not because he stole something or killed someone, he went to jail for protesting against something that he believed wasn't fair and wasn't right. He is a great person and he always will be. R.I.P Nelson Mandela.
