Motivation

The first thing that surely must come into our minds when we think of what makes us motivated are rewards or punishment. For example, some people get rewards for good grades or they get punished if they don't get good grades. In class, we watched a video about how people who did challenging tasks got more money while others who did worse got a less amount of money. Surprisingly, the people who were offered less money as an award did better than the people. I think what truly motivates people is when they set themselves a goal to reach or when they fight for something that they truly believe in.

Nelson Mandel is a good example of somebody that shows movtivation. He kept pursuing in what he believed in, even if it meant spending 27 years in jail. It took him a lot of movtivation to keep going and trying to end the apartheid. I wonder what truly sparked the motivation inside of him to keep going and not give up.
